Tunisian Olive Oil Showcased in 6th Oil China 2010

Recently, Tunisian Pavilion (comprising of 8 Tunisian olive oil companies) made its debut at 6th Oil China 2010 in Shanghai. This is the second time that Tunisian olive oil is being promoted and marketed in China.

As the development of Chinese economy, olive oil (which is considered as the “liquid gold” among various edible oils) is increasingly being recognized and favored by Chinese consumers. It’s estimated that the annual consumption of olive oil in China will reach 100,000 tons in five years, making China an important emerging market in the world.

The annual olive oil export in Tunis is 150,000 tons, accounting for one quarter of the total olive oil export in the world. Tunis attaches great importance to Chinese market. The Tunisian Pavilion covered more than 125 square meters. By overall design and planning of the booths and live demonstration & advertising of products, Tunisian olive oil brand image has been emphasized. With the business platform offered by 6th Oil China 2010, the exhibiting Tunisian companies has made contact with Chinese companies and reached a preliminary cooperation intention with them. Oil China has provided a new start for Tunisian olive oil to enter Chinese market.
