The point contacts that the increased marketing of olive oil worldwide,
Hojiblanca, maintained in recent years with China will materialize in the
distribution of 2,000 tons of 'green gold' from 2010.
This was confirmed by the Andalusian group manager, Antonio Luque, who
stressed the "progressive consumption" of this type of product that has begun
to see the Asian country, a potential market for the same population size, in the
words of the head.
Moreover, the group announced that oil producers are overtones of
incorporating a new group within the institution, Northern Mountains, Ciudad
Real, but "yet to determine the formula of union."
Currently has 67 Hojiblanca and olive associated entities, in line with improving
market competitiveness of the institution through the incorporation of other
groups.
The latest additions to Hojiblanca were requested by three cooperatives of Jaen
last October, so, so far, the largest oil marketing worldwide is composed of 23
cooperatives in Cordoba, Malaga 20, 16 Jaen and four of Sevilla.
Moreover, recently the group Hojiblanca, from the hand of his international
partner Cargill opened a new bottling plant olive oils under the seal of white
marks Mercaóleo with aspiring to put on the market in the medium period, 100
million liters of oil per year.
Investment in equal parts by both companies amounts to EUR 40 million, which
amount includes the budget devoted entirely to the practical conduct of the
facility (18 million) plus working capital needed to launch the factory already
defined as the most technological and robotic in this sector. The plant will
package a wide range of olive oils "high quality" in different formats to meet the
needs of all types of customers.
